Hana Pera Aoake (Ngāti Mahuta, Ngāti Hinerangi, Waikato/Tainui) is an artist, writer and PhD candidate at Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makau Rau | Auckland University of Technology. Hana has published three books: a bathful of kawakawa and hot water (Compound Press, 2020), Blame it on the rain (no more poetry, 2025) and some helpful models of grief (Compound Press, 2025).
